Braide can be used by teachers of any grade. We have built our first tools with a focus on middle school and high school teachers.

Braide can handle most common file types: pdf, jpg, png, docx, odp, html. You can use these files for assignments or student submissions.

Yes. Braide incorporates state standards when grading. Braide will show you each standard that is applied to your specific assignment before you start grading.

Yes. You can upload your current syllabus and Braide will automatically apply your current rubric. Once uploaded you can edit your grading rubric as you see fit. You an also use Braide’s default rubric if you do not currently have a one.

To err is human, and also AI. Braide grading is as accurate or more accurate than a typical human grader. Braide’s AI is not impacted by fatigue, blood sugar levels, or any other factor that might introduce variability into the grading process. You will ALWAYS have the final say on the grade assigned to every student.

The first way we ensure fairness and eliminate bias is by taking human factors (e.g. mood, energy level, personal feelings, etc) out of the grading process. We also carefully construct our grading process to minimize the possibility of cultural and other forms of bias.

Yes. The teacher and student receive a detailed rationale for the Braide assessment and feedback on how to improve the response. The amount of feedback varies based on the complexity of the assignment and teacher preferences.

Yes. You have complete control over the creation of assignments and grading rubrics.

Braide is currently has integrations with Google Classroom and Canvas. If you would like an integration with another LMS or gradebook please email us at help@braide.ai.

Braide does not share any identifiable student information with anyone other than the teacher.

Yes. You will have a dashboard with analytics for every assignment, student, cohort, and course.

Braide has no cost to implement other than the monthly fee. We estimate the times savings is as high as 90% depending on the type of assignment.

Yes. You can upload any jpeg as a response or take a photo using the Braide app. Make sure all of the student provides their complete name in legible print to ensure that the submission is associated with the correct student.
